Community Ambassadors are children and young people who have volunteered as a member of their local community group or special interest group to take on three main jobs:
- Tell others about children’s rights;
- Let others know about Sally and the Children’s Commissioner’s Team;
- Be a voice for the Children’s Commissioner on the ground and to feed into her work

Some of our Community Ambassador groups
These groups are all involved in our Community Ambassadors scheme. They meet to share the work they’ve been doing in their communities to promote children’s rights.
Vale Rights Ambassadors
The Vale Rights Ambassadors deliver training on children’s rights, help schools in the Vale of Glamorgan to take part in our scheme for primary schools, and support young people to build a variety of skills and experiences.
BAYouth
BAYouth is a group of young people from across South Wales who are dedicated to improving health services for children and young people.
The Tuesday Group
The Tuesday group meet in Ceredigion, supported by Tîm Plant Anabl/Disabled Children’s Team to ensure young people access Article 15- their right to join groups and clubs.
Caerphilly Youth Forum
Caerphilly Youth Forum enables young people in Caerphilly to have a say on the issues that affect them.
Adamsdown Community Ambassadors
Adamsdown Community Ambassadors was a Communities First funded project, they have been Community Ambassadors for seven years. This clip shows some issues they were more recently concerned about
