Responding to the High Court judgement on Relationships and Sexuality Education, Rocio Cifuentes MBE said:
“I really welcome the court’s decision today. Every child has a right to a full education, a right to good health, and the right to be safe. Relationships and Sexuality education supports all of these rights by helping children to learn about respectful and equal relationships through age-appropriate lessons, and also to learn about the signs of relationships that are unhealthy, harmful, or abusive. It is important that accessible and clear information is available for parents and children to combat misinformation, and that teachers are properly supported to deliver these crucial lessons. No child should be denied this vital learning.”
