Listens
The Children's Commissioner's job is to promote and protect children's rights in Wales. The Commissioner listens to children to find out what they need, what they care about, and how they feel about different things.
Speaks up
The Commissioner speaks up about the things children need. This means after listening to children, she shares what she hears with people who make decisions about children's lives.
Helps
Her job is to make sure that children know what their rights are and how they should be treated. If children or the adults who care for them feel like they aren't being treated fairly then she has a team of people who can help and give advice.
Changes
If children are not getting their rights, the Commissioner will challenge people who make decisions about children's lives and tell them what they should do to make life better for children.
