Open-Access Youth Work Services:

Monmouthshire Youth Service will be hosting a variety of activities over the summer as we bounce back from the Covid Pandemic. All of our youth centres offer free and safe drop-in spaces for young people ages 11-25. Our Youth Workers will be on site proving a mixture of activities each day and always are happy to chat. Each week we will provide outdoor activity days which will be fully open-access with no need to book. If you would like more information please either drop in to your nearest youth centre and chat to us, or drop us a message on our MonLife Connect social media pages.

School Holiday Enrichment Programme (SHEP):

5 sites will provide a programme (Overmonnow, Kymin View, Deri View, Thornwell and Durand) with capacity for 360 children every day. The scheme will be run for 20 days from Monday the 2nd to Friday the 27th of August, from 9:30am – 14:30pm and will be provided free of charge to children attending.

Open Access Play Sessions:

We will be looking at a series of 1 hour 55 minutes on open access play session across Monmouthshire in some of the more rural areas throughout the summer period. The full programme is to be confirmed and subject to funding. These sessions will be free of charge to children and families attending. Please keep an eye on the link below for any updates on the full programme.

The Urdd are running lots of free sports and play activities through the medium of Welsh this summer, in many locations across Wales.  Take a look at their webpage below to find your nearest sessions (*Please note that this webpage also includes some paid-for sessions*):
