Our Advice team has heard from parents who are worried that their child hasn’t yet been placed in a school for the upcoming academic year.
What to do if your child has not been placed in a school
If your child hasn’t been allocated a place in any of your school choices:
- If you haven’t heard from the local authority about a school placement, contact the local authority’s admissions team immediately
- If you have an ongoing appeal, you should still apply for an alternative school. This will not affect your appeal. This is an important step to take to make sure your child is not left without a school in September and can access their right to an education, to play, and to socialise.
