Responding to the UK Government’s intention to give 16-year-olds the right to vote in general elections, Rocio Cifuentes MBE said:
“This is fantastic news and a hugely positive step for young people’s right to have a say in the decisions that affect them. With young people already able to vote at 16 in Senedd and local elections in Wales, it will also bring a consistency in young people’s voting rights, increasing opportunities to discuss politics in schools and clubs with their peers.”
