This page of our Information Hub is intended to provide details of free to access activities and events for children and young people during summer 2021.  We have invited local authorities, national organisations and charities to share details of their events and activities with us for inclusion on this webpage.

We have asked organisations to give us relevant information about accessibility, language provision, location, staffing etc. including confirmation that they follow Wales’ Safeguarding Procedures, but we have not independently verified the details that they have provided.

We have taken all reasonable steps to ensure the information is as accurate and up to date as possible but the information hosted here has been provided by the external agency or organisation(s) running the activity.  We cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of this information, and would direct you to contact the event or activity provider directly should you have any queries about the details provided.

We are also aware that some services are providing a reduced provision at present due to Covid guidelines.  This might mean that they fill up more quickly than usual.

Gilfach Goch Community Association runs activities in Rhondda Cynon Taff, and Bridgend.

The activities include a Holiday Play Scheme open to children and young people aged 5-14:

The Splice Child and Family Project are offering family play sessions for children aged up to 8 years old every Tuesday and Thursday throughout August. There are two sessions on these days between 10.00am – 11.30am and 1.00pm – 2.30pm.  They will be offering art and craft activities for all the family, games and indoor and outdoor play (weather permitting) at their community building.

Splice Child and Family Project’s Play Sessions

On Thursday the 2nd of September Pen y Fai Scout Group have an adventure activity come and try day planned for new prospective new Cubs (for children aged between 8 and 10 and a half year old) and Scouts (for children ages between 10 and a half and 14 years old). Holiday Activities – Urdd Gobaith Cymru

KPC is a charity based in Pyle that supports young people over the age of 8. They’re offering a range of volunteering opportunities for young people who may want to gain experience, find out more about youth work, or even support their cafe. They seek individuals who enjoy working with young people and who may have a talent or skill they can share with the centre.  They also offer placements for students undertaking Youth & Community degrees, childcare qualifications, or sports and those who need to gain some practical experience to complement their studies.
