Backchat

Keith Towler, the Children’s Commissioner for Wales, wants to know what matters to children and young people in Wales. He wants to know what you think so he can use your ideas in reports and other parts of his work. He’ll also make sure that people who make decisions know how you feel.
In 2004 the Children's Commissioner for Wales wrote a report about school toilets called Lifting the Lid. That report said that there were some good school toilets but that some schools could make their school toilets better.
This is an important issue for children and young people and Keith still hears from a lot of children about what they think of their school toilets.
In 2009 the Welsh Government announced that it will be writing a new guide for schools about how to improve school toilets. The new guide should be ready in 2011.
Keith wants to hear from you about your school toilets so that he can talk to Government about your experiences and opinions.
The questions will be online until 20th September, so get your friends to answer them too!
Keith’s team read all the answers, and we use them in our work. If you want to find out more about the work we’ve done with information from Backchat questions have a look at the Backchat feedback page.
